In this tough time across the globe, we are hoping that music may be able to continue to offer a brief moment of joy. As such, we present the latest single from Fly My Pretties' upcoming album The Studio Recordings Part Two - 'Mud & Stardust'.
Originally performed as part of the String Theory show in 2016, 'Mud & Stardust' exposed A Girl Named Mo to the music public. Since its first performances, the track has grown into one of the favourites in the FMP catalogue, and become a staple of live performances since.
The track is based around the Samoan proverb "Amuia le masina, e alu ma toe sau" (lucky is the moon that comes and goes). Featuring not only the stunning vocals of A Girl Named Mo, the track is built around beautifully haunting keys from Nigel Patterson, and the amazing backing vocal section of Hollie Smith, Bailey Wiley, Lisa Tomlins & more.
The track is taken from The Studio Recordings Part Two, which is available for pre-order now, and set for release Friday May 1.
