Following the success of his album Notes, Nathan Haines releases a remix of the track ‘Belo Dia’ by fellow-New Zealanders Chaos In The CBD. The internationally renowned duo have put their house spin on the original which is a love letter to Brazilian music from Haines’ new album.

London-based brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales, aka Chaos In The CBD,have become key figures in the modern deep house scene over the past decade, known for their rolling, percussive house grooves. After collaborating with Haines previously on tracks ‘Emotional Intelligence’ (2020) and ‘Sirena Deep’ (2023), Chaos In The CBD were Nathan’s top choice to remix a track from Notes.

"Chaos In The CBD have delivered a stunning remix of 'Belo Dia,' and I couldn't be happier," said Haines. "They've kept nearly all of the original musical elements but added their signature beats. This is a track that I can’t wait to hear on the dancefloor!"

The original features Rachel Clarke’s vocal melody forming the centrepiece alongside Nathan’s flute, whistling and analog synthesisers, with Jonathan Crayford on piano, bass and string arrangement.Guitarist Leon Stenning (a former member of Nathan’s live band in the UK) co-wrote the song with Nathan several years ago, and it was a song that Nathan worked on while in hospital when he was undergoing several operations for throat cancer. All these elements from the original are maintained in the remix, and are taken from the beachy-sound to the dancefloor by Chaos In The CBD
