Released on Waitangi Day 2024, east-coast artist Tipene has released a track in the wake of the proposed reforms to Te Tiriti o Waitangi announced by the new Coalition Government. The track features a sample / sound bite from Kiingi Tuheitia's "national hui for unity" in Ngāruawāhia in January. The hui was called by the Kiingitanga out of widespread concern in Māoridom to the new Government's approach to Māori issues.
