TRAVELING TO THE EVENT
PICA is located approx 8km from Melbourne CBD, a 16 minute drive via Kings Way/Princes Hwy/A60. Large crowds & heavy traffic is expected in and around PICA.
A high number of patrons are expected to be attending the event so it’s essential to plan your trip in advance and work out how you are getting to and from the event.
RIDESHARE / TAXI ZONES
Uber & Taxi drop off is 12 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne. Please follow the road VMS signs.
Event rideshare / taxi location will incorporate specific traffic treatments. Due to the anticipated high utiliation of the roads around the venue, the designated vehicle drop off zone is to be at 12 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne, to the entry of the Festival site at PICA. Correctly identified taxi and rideshare vehicles will be allowed access.
PUBLIC DROP OFF & PICK UP
The designated Drop Off and Pick Up zone will ONLY be allowed at 12 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Public transport will be available to and from PICA.
-The closest Tram stop is Stop 128: 25 minute walk can catch TRAM 109 to the CBD.
-From Southern Cross patrons can catch the 235 bus to PICA get off at Plummer & Salmon St.
-From PICA patrons can catch the 234 bus to the CBD from the Rosny St & Howe Pde Stop, which is a 10 minute walk from PICA.

PARKING
No Parking is available on site. It is recommended you utilize rideshare and the pickup / drop off zone.
There will be free street parking on Salmon Street, Rocklea Drive and surrounding streets along with Free public car park parking is located on Salmon Street Frontage Road.
Strictly NO event parking on Woolboard Road or Thackray Road, any cars that park here will be towed.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Accessible Parking is available to Blue Badge holders via registration with the Venue. Accessible Parking cannot be organised on event days.
The car park will be operational between the hours of 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM.
There will be a limited number of accessible parking spots made available to patrons with limited mobility (blue badge holders). These spaces will be positioned as close to the event site as possible. If patrons with serious immobility conditions require further assistance, they will be required to contact the promoter to organise alternate arrangements.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By entering the event, you, the attendee, acknowledge that you have read the following rules governing conduct and consent to abide by such regulations and conditions.
This is a licensed 18+ event.
All patrons must have actual valid photo ID in the physical form of:
● Valid Australian Driver’s license or learner permit,
● Valid Passport or State/Territory proof of age cards
Entry to the event will be by way of a valid ticket and adhering to the conditions of entry as set out by the event organisers. Patrons will be required to have their identification checked, bags searched, tickets scanned and issued an appropriate wristband.
The right to refuse entry to any person is at the sole discretion of the event organiser or any agent acting on behalf of the organiser. ID scanners will also be in use.
There are STRICTLY NO PASS OUTS (Exit and Re-entry) for this event.
Last entry to the event is 9pm - please contact us if planning to arrive later.
REJECTION OF ENTRY OR EJECTION FROM EVENT
Security staff are entitled to search; pat down or metal detect any patron upon entry. Any person not compliant will be refused entry or removed from the event without refund.
Access to the event is prohibited or refused to people who:
● Are clearly under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other stimulant.
● Illustrate behaviour that intends to disturb public peace or to provoke assault.
● Intentionally attempt to conceal prohibited items with the intent to bypass security screening.
● Are wearing gang related colours, Hi-vis clothing, or attempting to resemble any staff member; including unauthorized media vests, or uniforms that impersonate emergency service personnel.
● Are from unauthorized media outlets.
Only authorised and fully accredited media approved by the Marketing and Publicity departments are permitted at the event.
Any media or persons found to be carrying media equipment (microphones, recording devices, camera etc) or deliberately deceiving staff will be removed and banned from PICAl for an indefinite period.
If you are evicted from the event, you will not be allowed re-entry and your ticket will not be refunded.
CLOAKING SERVICES
PICA provides cloaking services at $5 an Item. The Cloak Room will be open until 30 minutes after the event for all cloaking services. Ear Plugs are also available for purchase at the Cloak Room
EVENT SEATING
There is no reserved or dedicated seating.
PICA has limited seating located in both the food court, as well as on the accessibility platform. Please note; Seating overall is limited, and the accessibility platform is limited to those with needs rather than general patrons.
MERCHANDISE
Merchandise will be available inside the venue. L.A.B will be doing a signing after their set! L.A.B will only be signing merch purchased at the event or previously from the official merch store.

Additional items may be found prohibited at the discretion of event security guards. All items deemed prohibited excluding illegal substances must be either disposed of, or removed from site. IF IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT AT HOME!
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Food & beverage concessions will be available throughout the venue.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
All licensing, RSA and any other matters relating to the service of alcohol are handled by the licensee and bar operator.
This is a 18+ licensed event. All patrons entering the site must provide photo ID to secure an 18+ wristband, all persons unable to provide ID will be refused entry.
Any variation to the above will cause a minor to be handed to Police.
VICTORIA POLICE
Police have the right to attend the event and have the right to question and eject patrons from the event, if they are suspected of possessing illegal substances, weapons or contraband.
Patrons should respect police and be compliant with their requests but should also be aware of their rights.
We strongly advise against bringing any illegal drugs to the event.
SAFETY & FIRST AID
This Festival does not possession or use of illegal drugs at our events. There will be a single first aid/medical post at the venue. Please consult the patron map for location.
By entering the event and using the Venue and Event Medical Services medical facilities, a patron consents to providing access to their medical information.
SPECIAL PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION REQUIREMENTS
We are committed to maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all persons on site and are aware that a proportion of the festival audience may have a requirement to bring prescribed medicines and or special foods onto site.
To gain entry to the event with special medical requirements, you must ensure the following:
1. Ensure the medicine is in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker and issued in the name of the ticket holder i.e. DON’T peel the label off or carry someone else’s medication.
2. Ensure the quantity carried is the minimum required for the duration of the event.
3. DON’T bring non-essential tablets such as vitamin supplements or over the counter painkillers
4. Be prepared to be challenged at the gate or in the Event but do not seek to conceal medication
NOTE: Patrons without approved medicine in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker and issued in the name of the ticketholder will be unable to enter the event with the medicinal items.
ACCESSIBILITY & MOBILITY IMPAIRED INFORMATION
Upon presentation of a Companion Card, ticket purchasers are entitled to an additional ticket for their respective carer.
The Companion Card must be presented alongside the issued ticket to gain entry to the event. Dedicated entry lanes will be available to those in possession of a Disability Card or Companion Card. Guide Dogs are permitted on festival grounds to valid Disability Card or Companion Card holders.
PICA’s indoor show space has a viewing platform available to patrons. The viewing platform has seating and blank space areas. PICA are able to provide reserved accessibility parking (approx 25 metres from Box Office) and reserved seating and/or wheelchair spaces on our accessibility platform, and can provide an escort from Box Office to the accessibility platform as required. New Zealand’s L.A.B are set to return to Melbourne this coming summer on Labour Day Weekend, celebrating the release of their new album L.A.B VI. This show will see them return to Melbourne for the first time in over two years, bringing with them fellow Kiwis Stan Walker & Corrella.
Following on from the release of their number one new album L.A.B VI, 2024 has seen the band sell out shows in NZ and the United States already. The band will return to Australia this summer for a run of shows that will see them playing tracks from their much-loved catalogue, including tracks from L.A.B VI for the first time in Australia. Their last tour in 2023 sold-out shows across the country, with these shows expected to repeat.
Returning for his first show in Melbourne in over five years, Stan Walker is no stranger to Australian audiences. With close to two decades experience as an artist, cultural leader and storyteller, Walker will be playing some of his biggest tracks in these cities for the first time, including ‘Bigger’, ‘I AM’ and ‘Māori Ki Te Ao’.
This show will see Corrella making the journey to Melbourne for the first time. With a new album set to be released before the end of 2024, don’t miss this chance to catch one of NZ music’s brightest new stars as part of this great lineup.
