L.A.B drop another sun-soaked track ‘Ocean Demon’, taken from their new album, L.A.B VI, the latest addition to their expanding catalogue. After recording & releasing their first five albums in a five year span, L.A.B VI arrives in February after an almost 18-month period of writing, recording, tweaking & finessing what is their strongest album to date. 

‘Ocean Demon’ shows off the reggae-inspired sound on the new album. Premiered live and released alongside a special live performance, the track shows the songwriting and musicianship featured throughout the album, bringing the reggae vibes alongside a live brass section to create another sun-soaked earworm. 

Recorded with frequent collaborator Lee Prebble at Wellington's Surgery Studios, the album has been recorded amongst a heavy touring schedule featuring sold-out shows across NZ, Australia, the United States, the UK & Europe. Whittled down from nearly 30 total tracks, the 11 songs featured on L.A.B VI are a welcome addition to an already beloved catalogue. Incorporating all aspects of the bands unique sound, the album combines reggae/roots & soul with funk & elements of rock.
